Product description:

• The Ex225 can be used with various BORIKA FASTen® accessories the design of which comprises a tilt joint with 27.7° side splines: an Ht213 spinning rod holder, tilt anchor holders or rollers, fish finder plates, and others. 
• Adds additional 20 cm to the structure and is relevant for equipping any vessel — an inflatable boat, a belly boat (float tube), a fishing kayak, an aluminium boat, and others. 
• The design of the extender comprises two connectors with side 27.7° splines, allowing to make assemblies with the same side splines of the accessory.
• The tilt joints can be adjusted in 27.7° increments and fixed in the chosen position tightening hex knob nuts. 

Materials: fiberglass-reinforced polyamide, powder coated anodized aluminium, A2 (AISI 304) stainless steel, brass.

Tips on using & installation: 

• Installing the extender is simple — you need to dissemble the tilt joint of the accessory, connect the splines of the extender on one edge with the side splines of the accessory itself, and on the other — with the side splines of the adapter of accessory, which allows the entire structure to be fixed in the mount on the vessel. Use knobs, the fasteners, included in the Ex225 package, and the fasteners of the accessory to fix the structure. 
• Adding Dp230 adjusting washers (they are already included in the package of most BORIKA FASTen® tilt accessories), you can decrease the pitch of the joint to 7.5°.
• The 27.7° side splines also allow for adding some transition adapters for installing accessories from other brands.
• The extender tube with a diameter of 25 mm can be used for installation of FMr125 and FMr225 mounting systems, which allow for fixing additional BORIKA FASTen® accessories.
• It is necessary to take into account whether the mounting system in which the assembly with the extender is fixed can be used for increased dynamic loads. This is especially important for attaching a spinning rod or anchor holders. We recommend installing extended accessories using reinforced mounting systems (FMb, FMp225, FMr125, FMr132, etc.). In the descriptions of mounting sets you will find information on what loads they are designed for. You also need to understand that the reliability of the entire structure depends not only on the strength of the mounting system, but also on the strength of the surface or structure on which it is installed.
• To prolong the service life of the product, after using it in sea water, rinse it with plenty of fresh water. 

Technical details:

Designed to extend the distance between the accessory and the mount in which it is fixed by 205 mm. The design consists of a Ø 25 mm, L — 155 mm tube, 2 connectors with side 27.7° splines located along its edges, a spring, an M6*50 DIN 931 bolt and a hex knob with an inserted M6 DIN 934 nut. The plastic details are made of fiberglass-reinforced polyamide. The tube is made of powder coated anodized aluminum. Fasteners — of A2 (AISI 304) stainless steel (except for the M6 DIN 934 brass nut).
